Description

Hole-in-the-wall and Banshee Canyon are a perfect place to visit on your trip to Mojave. Banshee Canyon features unique geological formations, and a beautiful serenity that is hard to beat. The sandstone that makes up Banshee Canyon has been formed over hundreds of years by wind, rain, and volcanic activity. Banshee Canyon derives its name from the scream of the Banshee Indians that is said to be heard here. If you are lucky enough to visit when it is very windy, you'll get to hear the 'scream' of the canyon.

Short Hike: You can access via the Rings Loop Trail.
*Note: Climbing on the formations is not recommended, die to their crumbly nature.

Family Friendly: The whole family will enjoy exploring this canyon.

Gem Type: Geologic Feature
