“This site was a watering hole that supported ancient overland trekking from the Colorado River to the Pacific Coast.”— Matt Freeman
From the parking area the trail quickly reaches a split in the trail, and the Rock House. Here there are beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and local desert plants. From the house, turn right to descend along the southern fork of the loop. After about 0.5 miles you'll reach Rock Spring (there may or may not be water running). After leaving the drainage, the trail climbs back up along the northern side of the loop and meets back at the Rock House. Here, turn right to head back to your car.
Watch out for the bushes that are growing close to the trail, they have stickers and thorns.
