Description
This trail begins at the parking lot above the Scout Mountain Campground. It is a wide track suitable for ATVs. There is more traffic on this trail than on others in the area, but it is still a relatively peaceful trail. The trail has a considerable amount of shade, but there are also some very sunny spots, so while you have many areas that are nice and cool, you also have areas that get very warm.
There is a pond after about 2.3 miles. It is a nice scenic spot. The trail gets steep towards the end when you climb up to the saddle between Scout Mountain and Old Tom Mountain. The views from this saddle are great, and this area has many adventures to offer the intrepid explorer.
