The trail runs from the midpoint of Schofield Canyon #5007A to the midpoint of Schofield/Benson Canyon #5007C and endpoint of Shortcut #5007B. It is used by hikers as well as ATVs and trail motorcycles, but both hiking and OHV traffic is light.

The trail surface is mostly made up of large rocks which can make the hike somewhat difficult, especially for smaller children. Trail is relatively flat. The trail can be combined with Schofield Canyon #5007A, Schofield/Benson Canyon #5007C, Shortcut #5007B, FSR 5007, and Benson Ridge/Bluff Springs #5006 to create loops of varying length.

Evergreen trees, Aspen trees, wildflowers, deer, squirrels, birds, butterflies, and usually at least one small herd of cows.
