Kathy's loop is the first machine built trail constructed by RASTA. The western section of the trail was machine built finished in 2018 completing the beginner loop. The trail is a beginner trail and can be followed in either direction. Local hikers like to head out on Lake Trail from the shelter, turn onto Kathy's loop, and follow it clockwise, and then come back to the shelter on Ridge Trail.
