Need to Know

This easily accessible arch is quite popular and on busy weekends you may have to wait for a clear photograph through the arch. There are no amenities or water at the trailhead.

Description

The Mobius Arch is a large boulder that has been sculpted by natural forces into an arch that resembles a mobius strip. It is the most accessible of the many arches (72 at last count) found throughout the boulder fields in the Alabama Hills on the east side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The view through the arch from the west frames either Lone Pine Peak or Mount Whitney.
