Family Friendly It is an easy trail.

This closes at dusk, and a Discover Pass is required to park at Joseph Whidbey State Park.

Description

This trail starts at the West Beach parking lot but can be accessed from the parking at Joseph Whidbey State Park. The trail is pretty simple and does not need much explanation. Some parts of the trail may be unusable during high tide combined with stormy weather. At about 0.71 miles in, you'll see a sign warning you not to continue, but this only applies if you see the orange flag flying off to the right. That indicates that the Navy shooting range is in use. Don't proceed past that sign if the flag is up.

Flora & Fauna

Grass, cedars, deer, bunnies, seals, whales, and more can be found here.
