Overview

If you are looking to explore an interesting landscape look no further than this unique loop in Providence Canyon State Park.

Need to Know

$5 parking fee. Please respect all boundaries and fences as the area is prone to erosion.

Description

The views along the rim are outstanding and the colors from the bottom of the canyon make you feel like you are transported to the deserts of the Southwest.

Make sure you go down into the actual canyons and explore, there are nine individually marked crevices that that you can trek into. Most of the area within the canyons has a very sandy half inch stream running through it, so wear waterproof shoes or no shoes at all!

History & Background

This canyon was incredibly formed by poor farming practices during the 1800s.
