Description

Coming off the Marsh Trail, the first portion is mainly dirt singletrack through and under the trees, with a few portions where the trail widens. There's not a particularly steep climb in any spot, and it switches back and forth between singletrack and doubletrack.

The descent quickly turns from smooth to rocky and loose. Though it's narrow in places, it's not a particularly difficult trail. The Ridge Trail intersects with the end of the Marsh Trail at a forested depression before it climbs and then descends to the intersection with the Schultz Trail and Pig Flat Trail.
