Overview

Great views of the Superstition Wilderness greet hikers at every turn, culminating with the awesome overlook at Weavers Needle.

Need to Know

Bring water and sun protection for the desert environment.

Description

This is a wonderful out and back route, and the effort-to-satisfaction ratio is high on this trail. Though the trail continues on for a longer outing, the shorter distance provided by this out and back route makes this an easy enough option for the whole family, including your four legged friends. The trail is pet friendly.

In early spring, you'll find water flowing through the canyon. At the overlook to Weavers Needle, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the more of the Superstitions. Take a lunch or snack to enjoy at the overlook. Also, be sure to bring plenty of water as this is the desert, and it is unforgiving. When you are done enjoying the views, hike back the way you came.
