Description

The Wade Mountain Trail can be accessed from its west end via the Bostick Trail or its east end via the Devil's Racetrack Trail. I prefer to approach it from its east end to avoid having to hike on a greenway.

From the Devil's Racetrack Trail, the trail intersects with the Harris Connector a 1/2 mile just after a tricky, rocky incline. From there it continues to ascend to the a small plateau on top of the mountain which is also the highest point in the nature preserve at almost 1,500 feet. From there, there is an aggressive descent that is very rocky and technical.
