Description

Hike along this gently rolling trail as it ascends to the decommissioned ranger station from the washed out end of the road.

The trail begins by lazily ascending for 1.3 miles before steepening to more moderate grades. After the steeper portion, the trail descends slightly before continuing with a rolling ascent. Views of the lush Dosewallips River Valley abound as you make your way to the decaying ranger station.

No snow. Hiked this trail and then another 8 miles on Hayden trail to make it total round trip of 26.5 miles. Long hike but great!

Beautiful hike. Only 2 other people on trail early on. Hiked to Dose Forks junction. Deeper snow higher up but still easy to hike. Saw 2 deer.
