Family Friendly Children will love the spectacular 130-foot waterfall at the hike's end.

Overview

This short out and back requires only a small amount of work for its reward. It can feel very isolated and peaceful mid-week, but more crowded on weekends.

Description

This family friendly trail begins gradually on a wide, former logging road. The uphill is non-taxing over a smooth surface. You'll hear the rush of the falls on a slight descent before you arrive at the falls themselves. The tiered waterfall, mossy rocks and pools are especially impressive after a rain. The last 100 yards of the trail is a bit more narrow with a drop-off to one side, so keep an eye on kids here.

Flora & Fauna

Rhododendron, mushrooms.

It's so close you can almost reach it. Head just around the corner to see Murhut Falls.

Fairly secluded trail. Pretty easy hike about 2 miles round trip. The waterfall is spectacular. Take heed, the road to get there is extremely potholed 2mi — 11h 00m
