Description
This trail starts from the parking area off the east side of Route 7. The trail enters the woods near a dilapidated kiosk and may follow yellow blazes. Eventually, the markers turn to blue. The trail takes a left, then a right (at
Lower Forest Loop). It climbs up the hills towards the edge of the property. There's a sign (at the top of the hill), directing you to turn right. Here, the trail passes by a cellarhole and a small brook. The trail travels through a Chinquapin Oak Forest, then a mix of Hemlock, Pine and Ferns. The trail descends, following a brook, back to the fork in the trail.
