Description

Beginning by the Silver Creek Boat Ramp, the trail crosses the main road and immediately goes uphill to the Veterans Vista. This vista is best during winter months and offers better views of the lake when there are less leaves. The trail turns left and goes through a rotation of dense forest and open fields for the remainder of the hike.

There are three road crossings in total and the trail passes by the family cabins. The last half mile of the trail passes through flat lowlands near the lakeshore and is frequently muddy after rains.

View of the vista was eh. If it was summer you wouldn't be able to see anything.

It was an ok hike. There were some fallen trees and muddy places. There wasn't a good view of the lake. I was kind of disappointed. — 5h 36m
