Overview

A loop that takes you up and down Mount Monadnock with a shorter steeper ascent and a more gradual descent.

Need to Know

You currently need to reserve parking space at Monadnock HQ ahead of time to park at the trailhead.

Description

This loop that takes you up a shorter steeper ascent and down a longer more gradual descent. This is a good way to hike the mountain as the steep sections are more fun going up than down. It also gives you more variety than doing the same trail and up and down trail without too much additional distance. The only downside to this trail is that you currently need to reserve parking space at Monadnock HQ ahead of time to park at the trailhead.

Flora & Fauna

We saw a lot of caterpillars in summer.
