Description

This 2-mile connector is a way into the Black Elk Wilderness from the Iron Mountain Road Picnic/Parking area. This trail is in fairly good condition as it is not typically used by horse traffic.

Plenty of scenery with views of the Black Hills most people won't see.

Flora & Fauna

Deer and other common forest animals are plentiful, as are flies, mosquitoes, and ticks. Take precautions.
