Torne has awesome views and a memorial at the top.

Description

Follow the Popologen Gorge Trail along the creek, then follow the Timp-Torne Trail till you come to the Timp-Torne Trail Spur. Spectacular views, with Trail Spur taking you up the steeper trail, and then back down the gradual trail. Then follow the Timp-Torne Trail back along a smooth gradual trail to the starting point.

This took me about 3 hours to hike.

History & Background

Great views of West Point training grounds, Bear Mountain Bridge, and High Falls, Hudson River.
