This short meander is beautiful and takes you in a loop around the eastern part of the point. Some people enjoy hiking further on the basalt rocks here and just relaxing or having a picnic. Watching the lake during storms or at sunrise from this point is often very beautiful.

The trail itself is a single dirt track with rocks and roots everywhere, so be sure to watch your footing and wear appropriate shoes. Bring a camera as well!
