This is a relatively easy hike from either end to the interesting bog at Mud Lake in R.V. Riddell State Park. Most of the trail is on old logging/jeep roads. There are some wet spots, and it is usually wet getting onto the bog. From the north, parking is along the road. There is a nice small waterfall along the way up. From the south, parking is available across the road at Hartwick College's Pine Lake Environmental Campus.
Flora & Fauna
Sphagnum bog, pitcher plants, blueberries, black spruce.
