Description

The Table Mountain Road is a great morning hike. The hike is along a Forest Service Road, 4N21. As a bonus, the hike offers views is two special features. You'll see views of the Table Mountain Observatory which is operated by Jet Propulsion Laboratory under contract with NASA. At the end of the trail is a communications tower. It was once a part of the AT&T microwave transmission system that carried long distance phone calls throughout the US. On a clear day, there are hundred mile views!

Flora & Fauna

The hike runs through pine and oak forest.
