Need to Know

The trail can be very hot in summer due to burned out areas from 2015 fires.

Description

The Redbud Trail to Cache Creek is a fun hike with an undulating trail that is never too steep. The trail winds up to the top of the ridge, where you get a fabulous view of the creek and Brushy Sky High mountain. Once you reach Baton Flat, the trail crosses Cache Creek and then heads to the Wilson Valley where it is possible to spot Tule Elk.

Flora & Fauna

Valley oak, box elder, sandbar willow, California wild rose, and cottonwood.

Walked 2.79 to Cache Creek and back. Very dry and sunny day. Only passed three other hikers on the trail today. One hiker warned us of deer hunters. 5.6mi
