This is a good place to stretch your legs beyond the paved loop and see the old rock Spanish corral along the way.

Family Friendly An easy and short dirt path off of Mission Ruins Loop Trail.

This trail is open during daylight hours only.

Description

This trail leaves the Mission Ruins Loop Trail, wanders across a pedestrian bridge through a grove of old cottonwood trees where you'll find an exhibit of local birds. The trail then winds up the small hill through a forest of Pinon and Juniper.

Eventually, you'll come to an exhibit that points out a line of rocks that once was used as a livestock corral for the mission. As you meander the trail you'll have an intermittent view of the mission.

Flora & Fauna

There is an educational exhibit (local birds) at the start of the trail.
