Description

The West Summit Trail is the most accessible way to get on top of Pinnacle Mountain. It offers an elevated view of the surrounding Maumelle River, lake, forest, and even a portion of Little Rock. This is a strenuous hike and only physically fit individuals should attempt to climb the mountain. It's equivalent to climbing many multiple floors of stairs. The trail is rocky and rough, and trekking poles are useful in navigating the terrain. Look for the yellow blazes to guide you on the way up.

Flora & Fauna

Kingfishers can potentially be seen here during spring migration.

This was a great hike. The ascent is constant with a bit of a scramble neat the top for us short people but the views at the top were gorgeous. 1.6mi — 2h 15m
