The Post Canyon Recreation Area is a multi-use trail network formed of Hood River County property and a patchwork of State Park, USDA Forest Service, and private land. The area is also an ongoing tree farm operation, so be aware of potential closures. Expect traffic in both directions and yield appropriately.

Description

Ken A Trail #170 (also sometimes referred to as a part of Dirt Surfer) provides a narrow ribbon of singletrack littered with embedded rocks. The more than 1.5 mile descent is at a surprisingly good grade and little effort is required to keep a fun pace.

Along the way, you'll make a crossing over Road 2400, hike over an angled log, and climb your way out of a steep gully.
