This is an OHV area and the trails can be rutted, eroded, and there can be quite a lot of traffic; not always awesome for hiking.

Description

Pine Hollow #47 is a steep route that connects with Salamander Flat Trail #150 and Ridge Trail #157. The trail is challenging in its entirety.

Starting from the Pine Hollow trailhead, this trail starts with a punchy climb followed by a narrow and exposed traverse. From there, the stiff climbing begins to the east. Next, there are several crossings through beautiful meadows that make the route worthwhile.

Enjoy a short respite at the intersection with Salamander Flat Trail #150 before the last part of the ascent to Ridge Trail #157.

From here, you can connect with the American Fork Loop.
