Description

The Camuesa Connector trail runs from the Big Pine/Buckhorn road down to Paradise Road along the Santa Ynez River. From the start, the trail is fun all the way.

After a short descent from the Big Pine/Buckhorn Road the trail levels out and begins to climb slightly. Quickly about half a dozen switchbacks grab your attention. Once a clear high point is reached the trail steadily descends as it twists and turns its way from the high point down to the river. Smooth sections are mixed with tight turns and rocky areas. It's all fun with just a few short uphills thrown in for good measure.

After an exposed rocky section followed by some final turns in the woods you'll reach the river bed. This crossing can be wet or dry depending on the season but it is rarely very deep. Once across the paved paradise road is just up a short hill.
