Description

From the parking area, the trailhead is located on the exit side of Marble Mountain loop road. The trail descends gradually for a quarter mile. There will be a generator on the right side of the trail before the trail forks in four directions. This trail is the third from the left and unlike the others ascends steeply almost immediately. The two leftmost trails go towards the Flume trailheads. Once on the trail, it climbs steeply until it makes a sharp right turn and merges onto the Whiteface Mountain Trail #82. This trail is often the choice to start the hike to climb to Whiteface Mountain summit because it is the shortest route.
