After you pass the cattle gate, turn left and follow the wash to your left. After 0.3 miles, the trail splits. Straight ahead is Tamcan Trail. Turn right to stay on Laughlin Ranch Loop.

From here, you'll slowly ascend up the hills along a grassy dirt tread. After 0.8 miles, the trail makes a sharp right turn and gives you a nicer view of Livermore. Continue on the dirt for another mile to return to the cattle gate where you started.
