Overview

On this adventure, you'll hike on the Long Path: Section 22 and Huckleberry Point Trail. From Huckleberry Point, enjoy gorgeous views of the Hudson River and Plattekill, Indian Head, and Twin Mountains.

Description

From the parking area, take the Long Path: Section 22 by following the blue blazes. The trail is wide here, and with every step you gently climb. While you hike, you can hear the burbling brook on the right. After 1 mile, look on the right-hand side for the yellow-blazed Huckleberry Point Trail. Follow this narrow trail over rolling terrain for 1.4 miles to the viewpoint. Here you'll get great views of the Hudson Valley to the east and Indian Head, Plattekill, and Twin Mountains to the south.

Jenna almost broke her ankle. Went with mickVic and went to dmb show. Light rain at the end and we didn’t bring enough water or food. 4.8mi

A lot of rocks and roots on the trail. The view at the end was pretty. Saw a ton of chipmunks. 4.8mi
