This is a ridge trail that rises to 1291' North Fortuna Peak before dropping quickly to the Fortuna Saddle. Continue further south if you want to visit South Fortuna Peak.

Mission Trails is often hot and brown, but in the spring, particularly after a winter of heavy rains, it can be wonderfully verdant. Accordingly, this trail is a 2-4 star trail depending on conditions.
