Description

This short regional trail provides trail access between Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail in Lafayette and Lafayette Ridge Trail in Briones Regional Park. This trail makes many turns along its way, but turns are signed with directional disks on brown junction posts or on fence signs, so watch for them.

When traveled uphill, from south to north, this trail begins by leaving Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail on sidewalks and traversing a neighborhood park, crossing a major city street, winding between commercial buildings and dipping under a freeway.

It then continues on sidewalk, turns suddenly onto a rural road, and just as suddenly veers onto dirt singletrack for a steep climb through oaks and scrub on a south-facing slope. It concludes by landing on a wide, multi-use trail in Briones Regional Park which is followed uphill to a junction with Lafayette Ridge Trail.
