Description

This doubletrack trail runs through the center of the Group 63 Bunker Field and is a good option for those who wish to explore things closer up. Particularly towards the east end of this trail, it offers visitors the chance to view a defunct ammunition bunker named Bunker 63-1. Numerous informational displays depict the history of bunkers like this one, as well as the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant that used to occupy this area.
