Description

This trail has a lot of traffic during some times and other times you may see no one. Be sure to check the status of this trail as it can be littered with trees if a recent storm has come through. The up side of all the traffic is that the motorcyclists often bring a saw and clear the trail. This trail also sees a forest service crew about once a year.

This trail provides a nice remote and true backcountry feel without ever getting too far from a main road on either end. With Sesech Hot Spring to sweeten the deal, you must experience this worthwhile trek. This trail travels from the Ponderosa Campground to the Chinook Campground. The trail crosses a couple of small streams as it twists and turns along the bends and curves of the Sesech River. At times, you'll near the banks of the river and at other times you'll travel high above the fast-moving waters. The trail width varies greatly along the entire length and goes from wide path to a narrow trail tucked in along a cliff face.

This trail connects to the Loon Creek Trail and Whangdoodle Trail as well. For an easier hike, start at the Chinook Campground and then hike south down to Ponderosa Campground on Lick Creek Rd.
