Family Friendly This trail is a great out and back to Louie Lake or all the way to Boulder Lake with the easier Boulder Lake Trail as an optional return route.

Description

While the the beginning of this trail leaves right from the campground, you'll soon be climbing steadily to Louie Lake at 7,004 feet. You'll pass the pristine waters of the lake about 1.5 miles into your journey, but the climbing doesn't stop there.

Continue on this trail as it heads up the south side of Twin Peaks. You'll reach the summit and will enjoy some flat terrain and incredible views. From there, take an easy trek down a ridge past an old mine to meet up with Boulder Lake Trail #105. For a great little loop, take Boulder Lake Trail back to the trailhead.
