Description

FR 9a is the left fork after the bridge on FR 9. You can access the Powder Mill Branch Trail from 9a or just hike to the end of the road where you'll find peace and quiet typically.

Again, much like FR 9, this is frequently open to motor vehicles and can have heavy traffic during the tourist season or on nice weekends. It has never been closed independently of FR 9 or the right fork (9b).
