Description

Travel back in time on this loop trail that heads along a portion of the 19th-century Crescent City Plank Road as it heads into a canyon with access to the Ellsworth Loop Trail.

Old-growth redwoods rise above the forest floor, contributing to the numerous levels found in a nps.gov/media/video/view.ht…">climax forest.

Flora & Fauna

Hazel and vine maple with springtime blooms of clintonia, western burning bush, thimbleberry, red huckleberry, and western trillium and California bay and tanoak.
