Description

From the Washington Lake trail, head up the Livingston Mill trail to Chamberlain Lakes. From Chamberlain Lakes continue up the Castle Divide trail out to the East Fork of the Salmon River.

This trail goes over high passes with stunning views of the White Clouds and Boulder Wilderness areas. While this trail can be conquered in one strenuous day, most will find that they want to take their time here. This is an amazing 3 or 4 day journey with great camping. It's best to start at the 4th of July Trailhead and shuttle a vehicle to the Livingston Mill trailhead, though it is possible to take the trail in reverse.

Flora & Fauna

Mountain goats, elk, deer, wildflowers.
