Description

A 5.8 mile hike that gently rises about 2,200 feet. The first two miles are in the remains of a 2018 forest fire with wide views in the North Creek drainage. After two miles forest takes over. A creek crossing can require wading in the early season but was low and easy in August.

About a mile from the lake there are meadows and a large pond is passed. The lake has views galore and large campsites on the north west and south side of lake following the trail. Horses are common here and there are dedicated stock areas near established campsites.
