Description

Island Mine Trail begins at the junction with the Greenstone Ridge and drops gradually until passing through the Island Mine Campground. The Little Siskiwit River passes through the trail, but water can be scarce during dry periods. This section of the trail is predominately within the forest canopy, but eventually opens up near Siskiwit Bay. The trail is well-known to visiting history buffs who are interested in the mining history of the island and the evidence that's still present today.
