Description

If using this road as part of the Mountain to Valley Half Marathon, quicken your stride to gain one of the race's only uphill portions. Once at the top, open your stride back up - it's (almost) all downhill from here!

This hard-packed dirt road is one of the most aesthetically pleasing roads in the Roaring Fork Valley. Even if you're huffing and puffing too much to enjoy the looming figure of Mount Sopris behind you, take solace in the fact that this road gets you off of the pavement, and hopefully into your flow state.

Don't get lost in the scenery, this is a great section to drop the hammer and see how far you can push yourself.
