Family Friendly While children may need help crossing downed trees along the trail, its gentle grades and manageable length make this a viable option for families with children.

Description

Not to be confused with the better known North Sand Point Trail, the South Sand Point Trail departs from the coast about a half mile south of Sand Point itself. Walk along the beach or take the Ericsons Bay Primitive Trail to reach the start.

The densely forested South Sand Point Trail passes between two hills and connects the coastal beach south of Sand Point with the western shores of Ozette Lake. This trail is somewhat less maintained than the more popular Ozette Triangle Trails and you may find it very overgrown with numerous downed trees. Upon reaching the lake shore, you'll no doubt be surprised to see just how big Ozette Lake really is.
