Description

The Laguna Trail is unique in that its trailhead is about 1/3 of the way along its trail. So if you're starting at the Laguna Trailhead parking area you have the choice of heading south (towards the ocean) or northeast along a ridge line to access the Bayview Trail along Limantour Road.

If you choose the southern direction you'll be treated to enticing views of the ocean as you head gently downhill. If you choose the northeast direction the climb is steeper and longer, passing thorough fields and wooded areas that were burned in the 1995 Vision fire. Note: bikes are not allowed on this trail.

Flora & Fauna

Small herd of elk can sometimes be spotted near the Limantour Road parking area. Deer, coyote, Douglas fir, oak, coffeeberry, buckeye.
