The Beaver Mountain Trail climbs gradually along the eastern and southern sides of Beaver mountain, a small, forested mountain located in the park's frontrange. Start from the parking area at the end of Upper Beaver Meadows Rd.

Enjoy the pleasant views on offer as you hike through the meadows. As you continue, the landscape will transition into denser and denser coniferous forest. The trail hooks around to the west and then south before crossing Beaver Brook. Eventually, the trail runs into a junction with Ute - Beaver Mountain Junction Trail and Ute Trail. Rather than hiking out and back on Beaver Mountain Trail, turn left onto Ute - Beaver Mountain Junction Trail and follow it the Beaver Meadows Loop and eventually, the parking lot.

RMNP is a massive park that is mostly characterized by a montane ecosystem. Here are some of the Flora and Fauna that you may encounter along this trail:

Flora: Ponderosa pine, douglas fir, wildflowers, shrubs
Fauna: Elk, mule deer, moose, bighorn sheep, coyotes, black bears, cougars, butterflies.
