Description

Portions of Bear Canyon Trail have been re-routed in 2021, away from sensitive streamside habitat. The re-route also improves trail conditions, and reduce trail susceptibility to future flood damage. For more information, visit:

This 2.2 mile trail cuts through the valley between Green Mountain and Bear Peak. It's a rugged and rocky trail that climbs almost continuously to a junction with Green Mountain and Bear Peak West Ridge. Expect to navigate steep, often loose terrain and large rocky features. This trail, and its neighboring creek, show distinct signs of flood damage from the September 2013 flooding.
