Description
The trail starts near Beauchamp Blvd. It takes a gentle slope down into the woods and comes back up to the neighborhood behind the pool and to a playground with benches. It then continues along the least scenic are with houses on both sides of the street. Its the only area like that on the trail. After a short hike on the sidewalk it moves back down into a wooded area.
This section of woods seems to have drainage issues and I saw a lot of water on the west side of the trail. None flowing over the trail though. In this section I also saw a couple of places where dogs or coyotes had walked through the wet concrete before it was dry leaving a permanent track. It may be fun for kids to "track" these animals. It then emerges again back near the street. This time for a very short distance until it goes back into the woods one more time.
This loops back around to where the trail went into the woods. Its a linear trail so you can determine at any point where you want to turn back.
Flora & Fauna
Its mostly trees. Oaks, cottonwoods, willows, sugarberry, and locust to name a few. I did not see many wildflowers. Most of the insects I saw were snails. There is a section of the trail that seems to have poor drainage along side it. I would expect mosquitoes to get bad in that section at certain times of the year. I saw lots of songbirds, a few rabbits that seemed used to people walking by. I also so a frog hop across the trail at one point.
