This trail is located on land of the Navajo Nation, not Grand Canyon National Park or any other public land. Therefore it is under jurisdiction of the tribe and only open to non-members with a permit. Contact the Navajo Park & Recreation office for information.

Description

The Salt Trail makes a quick and rugged descent from the canyon rim down to the Little Colorado River. Once at the river, brushy trails lead in either direction above the bank, allowing for further exploration of this incredible gorge.
