Need to Know
This trail isn't maintained any longer. The ceiling and north entrance have fallen into disrepair and could pose potential hazards. Enter (at your own risk).
Description
This is a small portion of the Tennessee Alabama Georgia (T A G) Railroad, that was operated from 1891 - 1982. Though this trail appears to start off of the Crockford - Pigeon Mountain WMA land, it doesn't appear that it is maintained by the Georgia DNR. It travels a short ways (along the old railroad bed), before it reaches the northern entrance to the tunnel.
The first 100 feet or so is filled with water, but it is relatively dry past this. The tunnel isn't lit, so be sure to bring a proper flashlight.
The trail ends, at the southern entrance, and you'll have to travel back through the tunnel.
