Need to Know
There is ample parking at the trailhead. Note that there are no restrooms or water fountains available. Blue markers are frequent and make the trail easy to follow.
Description
This is a semi-rugged narrow trail through the Black Creek Nature Sanctuary. Along the way you'll pass over marshy wetlands and wind near a creek that travels along ancient stamp sands leftover from early mining. There is one main hill climb that can be tiring, although frequent benches make the hike very approachable. Along the trail there is an option to branch to hike along Lake Superior beach, or continue deeper into the dense Nature Sanctuary forest.
