The starting point of the singletrack is a short distance from the parking area. The trail parallels the savannah river and an active railroad track. The deep woods provide plenty of shade. Keep an eye out for deer. Although it is a natural area, expect to hear the traffic of local roads. This is also a mountain bike trail, so beware of bikers!
